The Relationship
My connection with the Nebraska Credit Union League (NCUL) runs deep, rooted in my extensive experience working with credit unions across Nebraska. At one point, I had the privilege of collaborating with over 11 credit unions simultaneously, ranging from small closed-charter institutions to large, open-charter credit unions serving more than 100,000 members. NCUL has always been the backbone supporting Nebraska’s credit unions, and I’ve had the honor of working alongside them to amplify their impact.
Our partnership began with an awareness campaign designed to inform Nebraskans about the unique benefits credit unions offer over traditional banks. We took to the streets with a rickshaw, giving free rides and sparking conversations about the value of credit union membership. This initiative left a lasting impression, becoming a cornerstone campaign for NCUL and creating a strong foundation for our relationship.
The Challenge
NCUL’s mission has always been to educate and advocate for Nebraska’s credit unions, ensuring their members see the value they bring to the community. The challenge was clear: how to effectively raise awareness and communicate the credit union difference in an engaging, memorable way. They needed fresh ideas that resonated with audiences while staying true to their mission.
The Work

This relationship has also positioned me as a trusted marketer for credit unions, opening doors for discussions with other institutions throughout the state.
The Results
The launch of Wald Family Foods marked a new chapter for the Wald family. The brand resonated with their customers and industry peers, positioning them as a leader in food manufacturing. The bold and cohesive identity provided the foundation for everything they would go on to achieve.
Beyond the tangible results, this project represented the evolution of a partnership. From small, quirky projects like Mr. Sips to the creation of an entire brand, my relationship with the Wald family has been defined by trust, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence.
The Takeaway
